Eliminating Nuclear Threats
In Tokyo on 15 December, former Australian and Japanese foreign ministers Gareth Evans and Yoriko Kawaguchi presented the Report of the International Commission on Nuclear Non-proliferation and Disarmament, "Eliminating Nuclear Threats: A Practical Agenda for Global Policymakers" to the Prime Ministers of Australia and Japan, their excellencies Kevin Rudd and Yukio Hatoyama.

Government
The Prime Minister of Australia, the Hon. Kevin Rudd, MP, was sworn in at Government House on Monday 3rd December 2007.
There are now two Ministers and three Parliamentary Secretaries within the Foreign Affairs and Trade portfolio. For further information, please refer to the website of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Registration and Services for Australians
The Australian Embassy in Vienna encourages Australians visiting or living in Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Slovakia, Slovenia and the Ukraine to register on-line.

Visas, migration and citizenship
The Embassy’s Visa & Migration office processes visa applications from nationals and residents of the following countries:
Austria, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia
It also processes tourist/visitor, student and other temporary stay visa applications from nationals and residents of Hungary. (Family migration applications for Hungarians are processed by the Australian Embassy in Berlin.)
Nationals and residents of Kosovo may lodge applications at the Visa Office in Vienna or at the Australian Embassy in Berlin or at the Australian Embassy in Belgrade.
Nationals and residents of Ukraine should lodge applications at the Australian Embassy in Moscow.
All citizenship by descent applications for Austria, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Hungary, Kosovo, Slovakia and Slovenia are processed at the Australian High Commission in London.
